The guide book

This is the most comprehensive book describing the US National parks out there, I would highly recommend using this when planning your trip. Michael Oswald does a great job offering recommendations in places to camp, things to do, and places to see off the beaten path. The book comes with several park maps and guides that come in handy when you are in the middle of nowhere and can't Google the questions yourself.
